Lushan Golf Club

Location: Lushan West Sea; Nanchang, China
Client: CITIC Real Estate Co., Ltd.

The Golf and Community Club was inspired by the poem Peach Blossom Spring by Tao Yuan Ming, one of China’s revered Poets. The poem tells the story of a discovered utopia beyond a Peach Orchard. Here, guests approach this utopia through a lush private landscape and formal courtyard which recall formal garden patterns. The modern club nestles into a hilltop with community club rooms, restaurant and golf lounge areas each with commanding views of golf, lake and mountains beyond.

The landscape and building work as one, with abundant covered outdoor terraces and many small and large-scale shaded outdoor gathering places, each on a celebrated view. Diverse local plant species ensure a sustainable landscape palette that blends seamlessly into the 18-hole Tom Watson designed golf course.
