We understand the significance of establishing a unique identity, sense of place, and legacy as cities and communities continue to grow and flourish. In addition to the pragmatic aspects of community identity and wayfinding, we believe that a coupling of the natural features of the property, the history of the place, and the spirit of the community are important elements to inform our design concepts.
DTJ has a strong portfolio of signage programs, and history of cooperation with transportation departments in bridge, monumentation and signage related issues. Tied back to our approach to create a story of place, a key component is the marketing trail or journey through the community, with significant wayfinding “landmarks” that serve as memory points while inspiring the community signage features.
