Small Area + Downtown Master Plans

DTJ’s revitalization studies consider overarching trends in the community such as the need for equitable housing, alternative modes of transportation, resiliency planning, walkability, connectivity and access to greenspace, which lead to value creation associated with high profile public spaces.

Real estate value premiums generated by property that has a park address, or adjacency to other significant public space or facilities, can greatly enhance tax revenue while also generating a revenue stream for programming and maintenance of the public realm.

Our downtown and small area urban design plans consider existing transportation and parking capacity, utilities, infrastructure, open space and view corridors, iconic places, context of building stock, preservation of historic structures, and transitioning to surrounding neighborhoods.
