The Planned Unit Development is designed to include a private community park at its center, a former homestead adorned with heritage trees, featuring a soft-surface trail system and a mix of homes ranging from 35 to 50 feet wide. A mixed-use area includes a commercial building, restrooms, and opportunities for pop-up retail with shade trees and plaza space with enhanced pavement areas for special events. The park-like open space amenity has a strong pedestrian connection to the entire mixed-use area.

The guiding principle behind Hillsong is to seamlessly blend with the natural environment, creating terraces that enhance the project’s visual appeal while respecting the essence of the surrounding Hill Country. This was made possible through digital sketch planning to maintain the integrity of the original design. The private community park, Hilltop Park, is designed to incorporate musical elements to tie into the community name, such as a walking path that resembles a guitar fret board and musical play structures.
