Water World Denver

Denver’s Water World is a popular summer destination water park whose Big Top area needed a complete renovation and theme to replace the aging carnival vibe. Named Alpine Springs, the entire park was renovated to fit the new vision, including a complete redesign of the ride tower and gondola lift, and features Colorado-inspired architecture and landscape rockwork. Special attention was paid to using Colorado native plants to conserve water. The rides, gondola cars, and signage are all influenced by a Colorado theme and the colors of the Colorado flag.

The objective was to create a cohesive environment with themed elements that tied everything together, as well as incorporating more landscape to soften the feel. The pedestrian flow was rerouted to create a new entry into the park, and an updated queue experience and shade structure helped elevate the guest experience. The dining/beer garden party and event space was reimagined to give additional gathering areas outside of the water features.
