Riverton Pointe Country Club Amenity Campus

Riverton Pointe is a master planned golf course community near Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We provided architecture and site design for the 25-acre amenity campus, creating the social and recreational heart of the community.

Inspired by the architectural traditions of the South Carolina Lowcountry, the campus brings together a collection of buildings and outdoor spaces connected by deep porches, broad roof overhangs, and shaded gathering areas. Organized around a Nicklaus-designed championship golf course, the amenity campus integrates dining, events, wellness, aquatics, recreation, and social spaces into a cohesive environment that serves golfers and residents.

Clubhouse

The clubhouse serves as the crown jewel of the campus. As the largest and most highly detailed building in the development, it’s the community’s premier destination for dining, entertainment, and social events.

Overlooking the golf course, the clubhouse features flexible dining and banquet facilities that accommodate intimate gatherings and large community events. The main dining room is anchored by soaring ceilings and panoramic golf course views, while the private dining room includes individual member wine lockers. The popular “19th Hole” bar opens to an expansive wraparound porch overlooking the practice green, extending social activity outdoors.

Pro Shop

The pro shop is the operational hub for the golf experience. Strategically positioned along the arrival loop, the facility allows golfers to conveniently drop their bags before parking and provides direct access to the first tee, practice facilities, and cart staging areas.

Housing the golf shop, locker rooms, member lounge, and bag storage, the building is connected to the cart barn and supports the golf course’s day-to-day operations. A raised “crow’s nest” allows staff clear visibility of the bag drop, cart circulation, and practice green, improving both operational efficiency and the member experience.

Waterview Grill

The Waterview Grill is the community’s casual dining destination, bringing together golfers, residents, and pool patrons in a relaxed social setting. Located between the golf course and the recreation complex, the Grill occupies a strategic position that allows golfers to stop for food and beverages between nines while also serving as the primary gathering place for residents using the pool and fitness facilities.

A vaulted dining room and expansive porch provide unobstructed views of the 9th and 18th greens, reinforcing the building’s connection to the course. An indoor-outdoor bar activates both the dining spaces and adjacent pool deck, encouraging interaction between multiple user groups throughout the day.

Fitness + Recreation Center

The fitness and recreation center anchors the wellness and active recreation component of the campus. Located along the arrival loop on the western edge of the property, the complex combines fitness, aquatics, tennis, and pickleball amenities into a unified recreational destination.

The fitness building houses state-of-the-art exercise equipment and a large movement studio that opens directly to an outdoor yoga lawn, creating opportunities for both indoor and outdoor wellness programming. Adjacent to the fitness center, a resort-style pool complex combines lap and leisure swimming areas supported by a dedicated pool house.
