EXPERIENCE COMPASSION
At DTJ, we’re known for being passionate about providing world class design and outstanding service to our clients. We’re also dedicated to bettering the communities where we live and work. As a company, DTJ has a long history of donating both time and money to organizations that our team members have identified as being near and dear to their hearts. This is a vibrant part of our company’s culture, and we see immense value in supporting the causes that affect our community and are important to our staff. Experience Compassion is a company-led effort that focuses on enhancing the lives of those around us by donating time and money to community-based organizations.
GRANT PROGRAM
In 2021, DTJ launched a new Grant Program. The aim of the Program is to focus DTJ’s resources (time, energy, and money) toward one cause that our staff members feel passionate about and will have a positive impact in our communities.
We encouraged everyone to submit their idea of what they thought was a worthy cause for DTJ in 2022. Proposals were evaluated and the selected submission entered by Associate Principal John Torti, was the restoration of the Cameron Peak Wildlife.
The Cameron Peak Fire was the largest wildfire in Colorado’s History. First reported on August 13th, 2020, the fire took over 5 months to contain, and burned through 208,913 acres on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Rocky Mountain National Park.
Our firm teamed up with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers to reduce the impact of this fire and give nature a head start at becoming more resilient by seeding native plants, spreading mulch, and installing erosion control barriers during a volunteer day.
The project site was a fire-affected area along the Big Thompson River. This southernmost area of the Cameron Peak Fire is a critical watershed to Rocky Mountain National Park, one of our nation’s most popular and cherished National Parks. This initiative allowed our team to tend to our environment and help heal the beautiful nature surrounding us.
