Atlanta Botanical Garden Visitor Center and Parking Facility

The Atlanta Botanical Garden is one of the City’s premier attractions. DTJ Partner Todd Hill while with EDAW/AECOM was part of the landscape architecture team to design and implement the new 10,000 SF Visitor Center and parking facility that overlooks Piedmont Park. Designed to LEED certification, the Visitor Center’s placement re-orients the entry sequence. It turns the Garden’s “front” toward the park, which allows entrance into the existing formal garden through the Woodland Shade Garden.

Key elements of the project included landscape design for the new entrance, parking, and Visitor Center; concept design for the renovation of major garden spaces; and, sustainable design and water conservation.
