Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra

DTJ provided Planning and Landscape Architecture for this one-of-a-kind 26-acre sculpture park in the Centerra Master Planned Community. This year-round, permanent outdoor exhibit features 82 monumental stone sculptures produced by Zimbabwean artisans. Nestled in among the native landscape, Chapungu Sculpture Park is organized into eight zones along 1.5 miles of trails, each featuring a different theme on traditional African perspectives on family, nature, the role of women and elders, and Shona culture.  A Great Lawn and stage are strategically located in the park for outdoor performances.
