The Spoke Bike Park at Daybreak

Daybreak is a meticulously master-planned and sustainable community nestled in South Jordan, Utah, spanning a vast 4,000 acres. The community prides itself on offering an array of amenities and transportation options, all designed to foster a thriving and vibrant living environment for its residents. DTJ has designed the landscape on numerous areas of the community over the years, including The Hub, Highlands Village streetscapes, the open space amenity framework, and most recently The Spoke Bike Park, a haven for bicycle enthusiasts and recreational activities.’

The Spoke Bike Park is thoughtfully designed to attract people who are just learning to ride to the most advanced and will have four adventure areas once fully built out. DTJ designed the master plan for the park, its signage, pump track, and flow trails that span the community-wide bike trail system called the Loop that connects with 50+ miles of bike trails.

Flow Trails

The Daybreak open space flow trails are phase 1 of “The Spoke,” a bike amenity that spans a linear half-mile of the community-wide bike trail system known as the Loop. The Loop connects to 50+ miles of bike trails and even includes a bike highway. While it serves its purpose well as a long linear adventure park, it doubles as designated stormwater drainage site, giving the community access to a unique amenity element while still allowing for proper drainage.

The Spoke Pump Track at Daybreak

The looped asphalt pump track is the first of its kind, being Velosolutions’ first residential neighborhood installment. The facility is suitable for bikes, scooters, skateboards, and rollerblades with two distinct routes for beginners and more advanced users, allowing for skills progression at each user’s pace and comfort level. Upper Village residents can head out their front door and partake in adventure riding right in their neighborhood!
