Waters Edge is the newest neighborhood of the 2,200-acre Palmilla Beach Resort and Golf Community. This neighborhood was envisioned as a departure from the previous Fairways neighborhood, which focused heavily on a rectilinear street grid and a very dense fabric, to a more relaxed, curvilinear street pattern with large natural open spaces and lakes. An interconnected set of lakes and large expanses of created dunes will envelope the neighborhood. Miles of walking trails will supplement a kayak trail, boathouse, pool, and other amenities throughout the community. We were tasked with rethinking the overall design guidelines for the community and now serve as the primary architectural review.
